looking forward to another great year at HCES – where “Helping Children Experience
Success” is our goal.Your
PTA board has been busy planning events and
programs for this school
year.In order for your PTA to
have another successful year, your participation is welcomed and
needed.
At HCES, we
have been very fortunate to have an
active PTA.Last year, your PTA
was able to provide valuable learning resources for our students.Such items included:

(Interactive white boards) for the school in addition to 2 previously
purchased
SMART Boards purchased with PTA funds.
“Imagine
It” eSuites for all students.This
is a standards-based, fully integrated technology reading program for
today’s
elementary reading classes.

the continued growth of our school, your participation in the HCES PTA
is needed.The following are some pathways
in
which your support will make a difference in the lives of Highland
Creek
students:
·Join the PTA
– complete the enclosed
membership form.
·Attend PTA
meetings that are held
throughout the year.Our first
meeting was held on Wednesday, September 1,2010
at 6:30 p.m. with a Volunteer Kickoff
party to follow.
·Share
your time and talent!Please review the list of committees that need
volunteers and chairs.
·Complete the
Parent Volunteer Form and
return it to your child’s homeroom teacher no later than Friday,
September
3, 2010.
·Support PTA
fundraiser this fall.Further details will
be sent home in
October.

Autumn Fest - Oversees committee to
plan and facilitate this fall event, including planning games,
entertainment and decoration. Position is responsible for accounting
for and collecting funds.
Father/Daughter Dance - Oversees
committee to plan and facilitate this winter event, invitations,
decorations, photography, etc. Position is responsible for accounting
for and collecting funds.
Schoolmates - Coordinates and
promotes our school's partnership with another CMS elementary school.

As a CMS volunteer you must register with the
CMS Volunteer
Management System before volunteering. Background checks are
performed daily.
