PRESIDENT'S NEWS...
Attention ALL Volunteers:
As of January 2008, there is a new Volunteer
Management System that will perform a background check on everyone
daily. All volunteers will need to re-register on this new system.
CMS is now paying for background checks with money earned through
a partnership with another company.
The Mother/Son Event is scheduled for Thursday, May 15th at NorthCross
Lanes in Huntersville. The Family Focus Committee tried to schedule
an event at NASCAR Speedpark but were unable to work out an event
in our price range. Since bowling came in second by only 2 votes,
was affordable and would allow for more social interaction among
Moms and Sons, we decided to go with that.
Our BOGO Book Fair, was a great success. We couldn’t keep
the books on the shelves! For those you that don’t know, the
Spring Book Fair is a “give back” to our parents for
their support throughout the year. We earn the BOGO Book Fair due
to your participation in the Fall Book Fair. The PTA makes no money
from this Book Fair.
The following PTA Committee and Lead Volunteer positions are available:
Community Sponsors, Reception, Retail Incentives, Yearbook, Autumn
Fest, 5th Grade Celebration and Reflections. Interested?
