Fall Book Fair
The 2009 Fall Book Fair was a terrific success! We are thrilled
to increase our profits from last year. It just couldn’t
be done without the overwhelming generosity of the volunteers
and families at HCE. All the time and funds poured into this event
will directly benefit each and every child in our school. “Thank
you” are two words that come to mind, but they don’t
come close to expressing the book fair committee's gratitude.
A special thank you and congratulation goes to Mrs. Walser and
Mr. Green for so graciously sharing their library space and being
voted PTA Stars of the month for September. Way to go!!
Pizza Social
Family Night at Book Fair was a smash success! We were so glad
to see so many of our Highland Creek families join us for this
event.. Sincere thanks to Paventi's Pizza for working closely
with us to ensure everyone got hot, delicious pizzas delivered
at JUST the right time, and to DJ DeAngelo for keeping us all
entertained during dinner. We would be remiss if we did not say
a SPECIAL thank you to the volunteers that make this event possible
- especially those who stayed an extra shift or two to make sure
all of our families were well served. YOU make these types of
events possible and I hope everyone who dined with us at Family
Night will recognize your contribution. Volunteers ROCK!
Sib n Sob— “A Bittersweet Success”
We would like to thank everyone who made Sip & Sop such
a great success. Kindergarten parents were invited for coffee,
muffins and conversation. A special thank you to the following
businesses for their donations— Lowes Foods ($50 gift card
to buy food items), Panera Bread (bagels), Savory Moments (muffins)
and Caribou Coffee.
Back-to-school Teacher Lunch
A big thank you to all of the volunteers that brought items and/or
helped with the back-to-school teacher lunch. The teachers and
staff really appreciated the wonderful lunch. Great Job! Additional
thank you’s to the following restaurants:

& lemonade.
- Texas Land & Cattle—baked potatoes
and toppings
- Texas Roadhouse—salad with toppings
